They now, supposedly, are getting one of the designers of the gen 2 Tundra to come down and take a look at it. They then asked that I bring it in and have the drive shaft pulled and greased since there was metal to metal only and that could be the cause. They then said, after a ride along, that the transmission was bad and replaced. Took it back in the following day and test drove another as they said that all 4X4's did this. and took it in for a TSB on the propellar shaft. Called them the next day to schedule an appt. Thought that it would be ok, but on my way home that night, about 9:45, started to feel a clunk at take off. Waiting for truck in detail and found out that they filled out the paper work for a different vin, same truck. I test drove 4 trucks and decided on the SR5 model with TRD. MY ARBITRATION HEARING IS SET FOR DECEMBER 16TH AT 10:30am TOYOTA OF ORANGE Very nice lady who can set up arbitration for anyone in California or if not in Ca, can give you a number.Ĩ6 will be overseeing my case from start to finish, I encourage everyone to call her. I just got a call from the arbitration settlement program Is anyone out there that had a new propeller shaft installed and made it worse and got further work done. ![]() He said don't drive it like that, and it's normal.Įverytime I take someone in my truck, they say they would have the dealer fix it especially since it's a new truck. drive it and it did it a little bit, I then had him go with me, and I drove it a little more aggressivly and made it clunk a lot. I even had the shop foreman (Toyota of Orange) Orange County Ca. Took it to the dealer yesterday and they installed a new propeller shaft and now it's even worse. It clunks when stopping, and again when letting off the brake, every once in a while when almost stopping then going again it will almost feel like a slipping clutch then 10 feet later it made a HUGE clunk. I looked at past posts about this and downloaded the TSB, How do I get it to go away. ![]()
